Background: There are mainly two characters in the story named as "the funny guy" and "the open girl" or "the girl". Both work in a private firm in the same team. The funny guy is like a non-serious guy who makes the official environment humorous. The girl is kind of open in nature (dont get offended with minor things), very talented and very beautiful. Now the story:

The usual day in the office. Everyone got some work to do. Even the
funny guy was doing some official work, so you can guess how much
others would be busy. The open girl was doing the peer review of one
of the development done by the funny guy in the product. She found
some discrepancies and decided to verify from the funny guy that he
has taken care of these cases also. She was thinking of doing it
during lunch or coffee time or thru mail but then thought "lets talk
to him". As manager has clearly instructed everyone not to have any
communication latency in the work. She took off her headphone and
headed towards the funny guy cubicle. Today funny guy appeared to be
very seriously concentrating on the work, no lateral thinking. She
knocked one of the cubicle wall with a marker, making enough
disturbance for the funny guy to take off the headphone. He smiled
after seeing the paradise knocking his door. Earlier she used to be
direct but today she thought "lets add some sugar" as taught in one of
HR training. So, instead of directly coming to work, she greeted, "..so, whats up..". The funny was little surprised because normally she doesnt greet. And here there would be some twist in the story. This story has three options for his answer:

1. He might have thought of answering, "What can be UP after seeing you", because thats what sounded like a joke for the writer. Story would have ended here leaving some readers laughing on the floor and some readers wondering over the insanity of the writer.

2. Or he could have behaved like a normal person. Answering something like, "..Nothing much, lots of work these days.. etc". Then girl would have clarified her doubts and story would have ended here. Hardly anyone would have enjoyed such story with no speciality but only normality in the characters. But dont go because our funny guy is special and he would never end any story so easily. Lets see what he actually answered in the next option.

3. After hearing the question, he appeared very delighted because he thought that the girl wants to talk to him. Simultaneously some voices were echoing in his mind: "The funny guy, this is the right time to show your attitude. Show her you are least interested in her. Show her you have better things to do than talking to her...Show her you are a man ...". The funny guy before answering anything first brought seriousness on his face and then took his hand and moved the upper arm to gesture a punch with folded palm towards the girl. Then he unfolded the middle finger and said, "Right now only this is up".
